Focus Study Area and Length
This grant is open to researchers who wish to obtain a Master’s or Ph.D. in any field of study, except in medicine, veterinary medicine, and dentistry.
The length of the scholarship depends on the type of degree the applicant elects. A Master’s degree will last from two to three years, while a Ph.D. will last no longer than four years.
Every researcher in the world can apply for this award. But priority will be given to women, handicapped candidates, socially needy people, out-of-school people, and migrants.

Conditions for Entry
Researchers wishing to apply for the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Scholarship must comply with the conditions described below.
- Applicants shall prove themselves in English or German. (B2 level and above)
- Candidates who have taken part in all social, political, and Community services in their country of origin.
- Learners must be enrolling in a full-time Master’s Degree or Doctoral program.
- Candidates must demonstrate their leadership skills and their willingness to respect all of Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung’s general conditions.
To be eligible for this award, an applicant must possess the documents described below.

- Master’s degree certificate (candidates enrolling for Ph.D.)

Recipients of the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Scholarship will initially receive a tuition waiver throughout their study period. Then, a monthly stipend of €850 and €20 will be paid to Master candidates with an extra €86 to cover health insurance.
Doctoral candidates will receive a monthly stipend of 1,350 euro and 100 euro for research, health, travel, conferences, and other minor additional expenses.
The enrollment for 2022/2023 Rosa Luxemburg Shiftung Scholarship will be closed on the 1st of April 2022.
Candidates must complete their registration before the target date.
