Adult Students in Scholastic Transition (ASIST)
The Adult Students in Scholastic Transition Scholarship focuses on providing financial support to adult students undergoing transitions in life.
Founded in 1938 by Lucille J. Perkins, ASIST was initially aimed at supporting women looking to build a career in business.
The scholarship is sponsored by Executive Women International (EWI), and EWI has been awarding scholarships for over 30 years now.
The scholarships amount to about $80,000.
Individuals who are past school age, non-traditional students, and people undergoing retraining due to changes in the workplace are eligible for the scholarship.
Ford ReStart Program Scholarship
The Ford ReStart Program is a comprehensive initiative for adults aged 25 years and above.
Sponsored by the Ford Family Foundation, the need-based scholarship enables adults to attain a full-time, post-secondary education.
Only residents of Oregon State and Siskiyou County, California, are eligible for this scholarship. 50 applicants are awarded scholarships each year.
Imagine America Scholarship Program
Imagine Africa Foundation awards adult learners looking to pursue post-secondary education scholarships worth $1000.
The scholarship is also open to high school seniors and graduates who are 19 years and older actively seeking vocational studies or technical job training.
Applicants must show that they’re not financially capable of sponsoring their education.
Furthermore, they must attain a high school grade point of 2.5 and be involved in community service during senior year.
Alpha Sigma Lambda Scholarship
The Alpha Sigma Lambda Scholarship is intended for adult students pursuing baccalaureate and associate degrees.
In addition, adult learners who are active members of the Alpha Sigma Lambda community in their school can apply for this scholarship scheme.
$1700 is awarded to 9 individuals at the national level.
Scholarships For Adults Over 25
Working Parent College Scholarship Award
Job-Applications.com offers individuals aged 25 years and above the Working Parent College Scholarship. For eligibility, applicants must be full- or part-time students in a recognized U.S. post-secondary educational institution.
The scholarship award is worth $1000. Applicants must be residential parents of at most one minor child, and they must have worked for at most 12 hours for about 4 weeks before application.
Furthermore, applicants will need to submit their applications alongside a 600 to 1,000-word essay explaining three keys to excel successfully in school.
Jeannette Rankin Scholarship
Women aged 35 years and older with low earnings are eligible for the Jeannette Rankin Scholarship. Only residents of Georgia and students studying trade specialties can apply for this scholarship scheme.
This scholarship is renewable every 5 years.
